En el vientre de la montaña

in the mountain's womb

I knew this place would come, for as long as I can remember.

It came through a mountain. I lived across from her then — now I live beside her. She brought us home, quite literally.

The connection grew stronger by the day, until the energy had built so far inside me that at one point it was ready — and it wanted to express its way out through me. Not as words. As sound.

I walked straight inside, switched on the amplifier, set my phone to record. And this came.

One take. Nothing cut, nothing added.

It felt like a complete rebirth. And from here came The Roar of Nature, and everything that is connected to it.

The rock mountain, seen from across the valley, framed by olive branches, with the barranco running down the middle.
Her. The rock on the left — and the whole mountain, of course, which is all part of her — with the barranco running down the middle. This was taken from the other side, from where we lived then, looking straight at her. Now we are in a nest beside her, her embracing and protecting us, living together.

INJOY A film is being made for this. Until it is ready, the mountain stands here as she is.
